-- Has an associate’s degree in Hebrew from the Defense Language Institute; bachelor’s degrees in Hebrew Language and Literature with Special Honors, and Middle Eastern Studies, from the University of Texas Austin; and a master’s degree in Intelligence Studies from American Military University
-- Has certifications in CompTIA Security+, GIAC Security Essentials; SANS GIAC Security Leadership Essentials for Managers; and SANS GIAC Advanced Smartphone Forensics

ON WHY HE VOLUNTEERS AS A CYBERPATRIOT MENTOR:
"After being that quiet kid in class myself, and not knowing how to incorporate rote or systematic learning to day-to-day work life and a career, I have always enjoyed helping others in the little or lot that I know, to help make future generations better than before. It’s an inspiration to see how lessons taught in the classroom, not only on computers but also in life applications …. can affect many other areas and interests in our lives. I greatly enjoy being a mentor and trainer, not because I’m the smartest guy on the block, rather because I inspire to help be a part of the solution in shaping our future generation to be the best they can be, rather than be a part of the problem and standing by and not taking an active role as a positive role model."
ON WHY HE CHOSE TO BE AN ARMY CIVILIAN:
“I choose to be an Army Civilian because of this great mission set we are afforded to partake in … to help form policy and shape history behind the scenes as we pave the way forward in this new arena we call cyber. I left active duty to be an Army Civilian (and) member of the Army team together working in support of the greater mission. I want to continue to invest in myself and those around me by leveraging my knowledge, skills and abilities (I learned) conducting this mission while I was in active-duty status. I arduously work towards fusing … leadership, planning and technical capabilities and to promote information sharing in support of cyberspace network defense. I strive to be part of the long-term continuity of professionals who provide leadership, stability and continuity in the cyberspace domain.”
ON WHAT HE WOULD RECOMMEND TO OTHERS CONSIDERING FOLLOWING HIS CAREER PATH:
“For others that would like to help mentor in their community and polish their skills by teaching something they’re passionate about, I’d recommend they get involved, ask around, see who is actively participating, and see how they can support. Some would say that one man cannot change the world, but it takes just one of us to seize the initiative to start something great and to be that encouragement for others to carry on the torch.”
ON HIS FUTURE GOALS:
“I plan on continuing my education in furthering my in-depth studies of cybersecurity and assisting in mentoring those around me and future generations in tackling this ever-growing field of cybersecurity. I am working on solidifying my plans and looking for the right school to advance my graduate education to either get a PhD in neuro-linguistics, artificial intelligence and machine learning, computational linguistics, or some other cybersecurity-related (arena) related to how the intriguing human brain interacts with the computers around us.”

“My hope and desire is to not have tombstone with merely my name and dates, rather it be a reflection of the philanthropic impact I’ve had on the world and those around me. I hope and inspire to leave this world a better place after I’ve left and a positive impact on those around me.
My favorite movie is “La Vita È Bella” in Italian, meaning “Life is Beautiful”, because it goes to show that no matter how bad our circumstance, that it is up to us to decide our own mood and happiness.”
