LANSING, Mich. – Brig. Gen. Bryan J. Teff, chief of staff, Michigan Air National Guard, assumed command of the Michigan Air National Guard from Maj. Gen. Leonard W. Isabelle, at the Michigan National Guard Joint Force Headquarters, Lansing, Michigan, Aug. 27, 2019.
The transition of responsibility was officiated by Maj. Gen. Paul D. Rogers, adjutant general, Michigan National Guard, as Command Sgt. Maj. Catherine Farrell, senior enlisted advisor, Michigan National Guard, looked on.
Teff brings more than 30 years of cumulative military experience to the position, including 21 years in the Michigan Air National Guard with command billets at all three ANG installations in the state: Alpena Combat Readiness Training Center, Selfridge Air National Guard Base, and Battle Creek Air National Guard Base.
"It's an honor and a privilege to serve with the outstanding men and women of the MI ANG,” Teff said. “I want to thank Maj. Gen. Isabelle for his exceptional leadership and I look forward to building on our legacy of excellence. Our elite Airmen and their families will continue to be our central focus – I am proud of our outstanding heritage and I look forward to a bright future."
Isabelle will go on to serve as ANG advisor to the First Air Force, Tyndall Air Force Base, Fla., having led the MI ANG since 2012.
