Avenger-class mine countermeasures ship USS Ardent (MCM 12) arrived in La Paz, Mexico, Sept. 13 for a scheduled port visit.
While in port, Ardent crew members will have a chance to participate in friendship-building, goodwill-generating activities and cultural exchanges.
Planned engagements include a community relations project and ship tours which will serve to further strengthen the partnership between the U.S. and Mexico.
Ardent is currently underway conducting routine operations to maintain operational readiness.
U.S. 3rd Fleet leads naval forces in the Indo-Pacific and provides the realistic, relevant training necessary for an effective global Navy. U.S. 3rd Fleet works in close coordination with U.S. 7th Fleet to provide commanders with capable, ready assets across the spectrum of military operations in the Indo-Pacific.
