Crew workers with the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant (MCAAP) of McAlester, Okla., have worked on rail on the cantonment area during the summer of 2019 at Fort McCoy, Wis.
The work is part of a two-year project to improve more than 8 miles of rail lines at Fort McCoy with new composite railroad ties and new 136-pound rails.
MCAAP crews began work on the project in 2018.
Located in the heart of the upper Midwest, Fort McCoy is the only U.S. Army installation in Wisconsin.
The installation has provided support and facilities for the field and classroom training of more than 100,000 military personnel from all services each year since 1984.
