Airmen with U.S. Air Forces Africa and the National Guard, along with 25 African partner nations, are currently in Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire, to participate in the African Partner Outbreak Response Alliance VIII conference.
During APORA VIII, which runs from Nov 18 - 21, military and civilian leaders will work together to align best practices and improve response capabilities for preventing, detecting and responding to emerging infectious diseases. The theme of this iteration of APORA is 'One World, One Health,' and will introduce the 'One Health' approach as a way to advance the multi-sectoral efforts of combating infectious diseases.
