The 86th Material Maintenance Squadron noncommissioned officer in charge of maintenance received the honor of being Ramstein’s Airlifter of the Week, Nov. 15, 2019.
U.S. Air Force Col. Matthew Husemsann, 86th Airlift Wing vice commander, and U.S. Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Ernesto Rendon, 86 AW command chief, lauded U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Tiffany Leese during a gathering of her peers and leadership.
Leese maintained the Air Force’s largest reserve aircraft armament equipment account worth more than $92 million. She coordinated a two-week temporary duty assignment for six personnel to perform preventive maintenance and inventory on the reserve.
Leese also conducted three quality assurance evaluations on sites in Luxembourg and Norway.
“The way she works with our partner nations to make sure we’re ready at any given time, that’s the most impressive thing,” Husemann said.
During those inspections, she identified a process shortfall and devised a plan which corrected the problem, cutting process time by 86% and shipment cost by 95%.
"Tiffany is a rock star and her ability to refine processes showcases the unique mission of the 86th Materiel Maintenance Squadron and our commitment to partner nations," Husemann said.
The Airlifter of the Week program recognizes Ramstein Airmen who, through their hard work and dedication, help make the 86th AW the “World’s Best Wing.”
