NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Nov. 21, 2019) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District announces a public workshop is being held 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2019 at the Cordell Hull Lake Resource Manager’s Office in Carthage, Tenn. The staff is also available from noon to 4 p.m. during an open house to discuss possible changes and receive comments.
The purpose of this workshop and open house is to provide the public with an opportunity to comment on the proposed improvements to the 1968 Design Memorandum 7B, Master Plan, Cordell Hull Project. An associated draft Environmental Assessment (EA) is also available for review and comment and has a concurrent public comment period.
Resource Manager Mark Herd said this gives the public an opportunity to review the elements that make up the Master Plan and provide comments. There will be no formal presentation so interested parties can stop by any time.

The public can request a copy of the documents by emailing a request to CordellHullLake@usace.army.mil. Written comments and requests will be accepted at the workshop, open house, emailed to CordellHullLake@usace.army.mil or mailed to the Cordell Hull Lake Resource Manager’s Office at 71 Corps Lane, Carthage, TN 37030. All comments and requests must be received by the Resource Manager’s Office no later than Friday, Jan. 10, 2020 to be considered.
