Patricia Gill, a Naval Hospital Jacksonville nurse, was presented with the Military Health System’s Federal Civilian Nursing Leadership Excellence Award (junior leadership category) on Dec. 5, during the annual meeting of AMSUS, The Society of Federal Health Professionals, in National Harbor, Maryland.
Gill serves as NH Jacksonville’s urology clinic manager and as Civilian Corps Representative on the Combined Executive Board.
Gill’s accomplishments include: national certification in ambulatory care nursing; the 2019 “100 Great Nurses of Northeast Florida” award; the Meritorious Civilian Service Medal; 2018 Civilian of the Year at NH Jacksonville; and 2017 Vivian Ellis Ingram Health Service Award from Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority.
The MHS Nursing Leadership Excellence Award was established to honor registered nurses who have demonstrated exemplary leadership skills, exceptional compassion and commitment, and contributing to improved nursing in the MHS.
