BAUMHOLDER, Germany – Army housing residents still have until the clock strikes midnight Friday, Dec. 20, to complete the Army Housing Survey.

The Army extended the survey an extra week so more residents could complete the questionnaire. Commanders are hoping for a 30% completion rate. As of Thursday morning, only 21.8% of Baumholder housing residents have completed the survey.

United States Army Garrison Rheinland-Pfalz leaders are determined to set the building blocks for making the garrison a place families put at the top of their dream sheet, which is why they want all housing residents to complete the survey.

“This survey is vital to this commitment in order to ensure our resources are properly applied to maintaining the good and also where to focus on improvements,” said Greg Williams, Directorate of Public Works director. “We have a wonderful and caring Housing Team, but they do not live on-post, that is why the opinion of those who do live on post is so critical.”

USAG RP garrison commander, Col. Jason Edwards said the current climate surrounding military housing world-wide means leaders from garrisons to the Pentagon are listening to what residents are saying.

"The importance of this current housing survey can't be overlooked, especially given the climate of opportunity there is to make change. I hope everyone who has the opportunity to give feedback does so and is candid about every question," said Edwards. "We'll take the feedback, review it, make a plan and act accordingly, but we can't do that without your voice."

Edwards asks residents who haven’t filled out the survey to please do so. If a resident hasn’t received the email from CEL & Associates, Inc., they should check their spam or junk folders. If they still don’t have it, they can call 0611-143-531-2978 (DSN 531-2978) to have a link sent to them.
