Interior Communications 2nd Class Petty Officer Justin Kolbinskie was recently promoted at an all hands awards ceremony, NAS Oceana Dam Neck Annex.
Kolbinskie is a Florida native and has been in the U.S. Navy for six years. Since last August, he’s been working at Training Support Center Hampton Roads (TSCHR) as the Information Warfare Training Command Va. Beach (TSCHR) Student Management Leading Petty Officer.
Culinary Specialist 2nd Class Petty Officer Dalton Vann had the honors of frocking Kolbinskie. “I work with Vann every day and we’ve become good friends, so I asked him to frock me.”
“I was in disbelief when I found out I made E-6,” said Kolbinskie. “This was my first time up on an early promote waiver, 7% quota.”
Kolbinskie is currently pursuing a degree in nursing.
