SOUTH CAMP, Sinai, Egypt --- Service members of Task Force Sinai held a ceremony to mark the grand opening of the new Supply Support Activity facility on South Camp, Egypt, Jan. 16, 2020.

The new facility is essential to the controlled receiving, distribution, issuing and storage of stocked parts supporting the Multinational Force and Observers (MFO) mission.

“The logistical support provided in this complex operating environment enables not just completion of the MFO mission but contributes to the overall well-being of the multinational personnel of the MFO,” said Colonel Robert Duchaine, commander of Task Force Sinai and the chief of staff for the MFO.

The new facility will increase the workspace and the capability to store additional parts and items. It will also improve the overall optimization, security and safety of the SSA’s merchandise, when compared to the previous facility.

The SSA is a project that was funded by 1st Theater Sustainment Command. This new infrastructure will reinforce US commitment to peace in the region and give soldiers necessary equipment to accomplish their mission.
