U.S. military aircraft, including a U.S. Air Force F-35A Lightning II, and a U.S. Marine Corps MV-22 Osprey performed flyovers at the Kuwait Aviation Show at the Kuwait International Airport, Farwaniya, Kuwait, Jan. 15-18, 2020. The airshow is considered one of the most significant aviation and air industry events in the Middle East region and offers an opportunity to promote U.S. national security objectives and demonstrate U.S. commitment to regional stability. This is the first year the U.S. military has supported this event. U.S. military participation in the KAS helps demonstrate how equipment can be employed, which helps allied and partner nations evaluate whether U.S. assets are a cost-effective way of meeting their security needs.
