Leadership from Air Force District of Washington and the 11th Wing visited the 89th Airlift Wing for an immersion tour on Joint Base Andrews, Maryland Feb. 28.
The purpose of the immersion was familiar with 89th AW’s mission partners with its operations to further enhance cohesive between them.
AFDW and the 11th Wing received a wing mission briefing, visited the wing's communication and aerial port squadrons and toured the 1st Airlift Squadron’s C-32A aircraft.
The C-32A is operated by the 1st Airlift Squadron and is a high priority personnel transports with the distinctive call sign “Air Force Two” when moving the vice president. It also transports the First Lady, members of the cabinet and congress.
