NAMI Hosts USNAC
(Pensacola, Fla.) The Naval Aerospace Medical Institute (NAMI) hosted the United States Naval Aeromedical Conference (USNAC) aboard Naval Air Station Pensacola, Monday, February 24-26.
The purpose of the conference was to help participants acquire the latest information regarding aerospace medicine, learn about emerging technologies, discuss leadership challenges facing carriers and airwings, exchange lessons learned and develop courses of action to improve aeromedical support to the fleet, fleet marine force and joint warfighters.
“USNAC is an annual event that allows all naval aeromedical communities to share research, best practices, fleet priorities, and developmental guidance for all members in one place in just a few days,” said Lt. Cmdr. Kenneth King, the 2020 conference director. “It makes all its participants better, helps get critical information out to a wide audience of the right people, and helps us all maintain the standards of care and scientific practice that the aviation community deserves.”
Attendees included active duty and reserve operational flight surgeons, senior medical officers (SMO), Aerospace Optometrists, Aerospace Physician Assistants, ship nurses, Aerospace Experimental Psychologists, Aerospace and Operational Physiologists, medical administration officers, aerospace medical technicians (AVT) and other aeromedical support personnel.
