The Marine Corps Exchange (MCX) on Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, has altered its daily operations in order to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
“Customers cannot eat in the food courts; everything is takeout only,” said Tiffani Lassiter, an assistant manager for the MCX. “We have signs up about social distancing and we are encouraging customers to stand six feet apart while waiting in lines to check-out. There is tape on the ground to help facilitate and encourage patrons to do as such.”
The MCX management team has increased their sanitation guidelines to help protect customers and employees from the spread of the virus.
Some of the procedures the MCX has implemented include hand washing stations outside entrances, closing the food courts for dine in services, encouraging social distancing and sanitizing all surfaces every hour.
The MCX will be operating under regular business hours until further notice. They are open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sundays.
