Officers Mark Johnson and Emanuel Brown with the Directorate of Emergency Services Police Department are shown reviewing motorist IDs and asking screening questions April 3, 2020, at the Main Gate entry control point at Fort McCoy, Wis.
Fort McCoy police have limited entry to the installation since the start of the installation’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020. Their work and response has allowed the installation to increase safety and maintain security at the same time, garrison officials said.
Located in the heart of the upper Midwest, Fort McCoy is the only U.S. Army installation in Wisconsin.
The installation has provided support and facilities for the field and classroom training of more than 100,000 military personnel from all services each year since 1984.
