“I’ve been in the unit for about seven years now, so I’ve supported a few missions including hurricane relief and overseas deployments; but this is a little different. My grandmother in New York is actually sick in the intensive care unit, and my grandfather is at home all alone. While I wish I could be there with them, serving the greater mission and knowing I’m making a difference is helping me get through. Of course we’re not seeing the patients, but we know we’re making a difference when we’re distributing personal protective equipment to different counties. We’ve even been getting ‘thank yous,’ and for us, that’s really heart warming.”
-Tech. Sgt. Christopher Gonzalez, 203rd RED HORSE Squadron structural craftsman
