    One Afghan killed, five wounded in Zabul

    KABUL, Afghanistan — An Afghan civilian has been killed, and five others wounded, following an incident involving International Security Assistance Force troops and insurgents, today, in southern Afghanistan.

    The incident involved ISAF troops engaging a group of armed insurgents.

    Later, six wounded civilians reported to an ISAF Forward Operating Base west of Zabul. The civilians were immediately given medical treatment and then transported to ISAF medical facilities to receive further treatment. The provincial governor of Zabul has been informed.

    Unfortunately, one of the civilians has since died of wounds.

    ISAF values the lives of all Afghans and the incident is currently under investigation.
