HILLAH, Iraq — Multi-National Division- South, in coordination with the provincial governor of Babil province, Salman Al Zargani, has started the process of ceasing operations at the U.S. Regional Embassy Office in Hillah. The Babil Provincial Reconstruction Team and coalition forces will relocate to another site within the province before the end of August 2009. Relocation of the Babil PRT and associated coalition soldiers will better facilitate operations as well as improve security for U.S. forces in Babil province. An administrative and logistical support element will remain at the site for several months in order to facilitate the return of the facility to Iraqi control.
