ROSEVILLE, Calif. – U.S. Air Force Col. Clark Bramante, commander of the California Air National Guard's 163d Operations Group, 163d Attack Wing, is the newly assigned commander of Joint Task Force JTF 115. The task force is an ongoing mission in California providing humanitarian support in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Bramante recently took command from Col. Douglas Hire, 195th Wing commander.
“I’m very excited about stepping in as commander,” said Bramante. “This is what we signed up to do and it’s a unique and great opportunity to serve the people of California and show what the Guard does best.”
Bramante’s priorities are the health and safety of the personnel assigned to the JTF and enabling them to assist in California’s efforts to combat COVID-19.
“My priority is making sure that Airmen and Soldiers are taken care of administratively, personally, and that we are looking out for their families,” said Bramante. “By taking care of our people, we are able to better provide support to food banks and the medical logistics facilities throughout California.”
He recently toured several locations to witness the Cal Guard’s personnel performing their humanitarian mission at food banks and medical facilities.
“It was really fun to see them having fun and making it a great place to work while keeping the morale high," he said. “They are doing a fantastic job!”
