Prouty takes command of 48th FTS

14th Flying Training Wing

Lt. Col. Nelson Prouty took command of the 48th Flying Training Squadron on May 21, 2020, at Columbus Air Force Base, Miss.

The 48th FTS conducts the tanker and airlift track of specialized undergraduate pilot training where students receive a minimum of 159 hours of flight instruction in the T-1A Jayhawk.

Prouty was the director of operations at the 14th Student Squadron prior to taking command of the 48th FTS.
