The 305th Air Mobility Wing held a change of command ceremony July 10, here.

The ceremony welcomed U.S. Air Force Col. Scott Wiederholt and bid farewell to U.S. Air Force Col. Jacqueline Breeden.

“I’ve seen very clearly how strong [Breeden’s] influence is with our Airmen and families, and not to mention the hard work [she’s] put into building the partnership and teams on this base,” said U.S. Air Force Maj. Gen. Sam Barrett, 18th Air Force commander. “[Her] personal leadership set the bar high by building a warrior culture and a war-ready wing.

“Col Wiederholt [is] a fantastic mobility Airman with deep operational and staff experience at the squadron, group, and major command levels. With [his] proven skill and ability, I have every confidence this wing will continue to thrive as the ‘Can Do’ wing.”

Wiederholt is a career aviator and has accumulated more than 4,400 flying hours.

“Col. Wiederholt is more than qualified for the task,” Breeden said. “He has a high performing leadership team at his side and mission partners who are committed to serving with him and enabling team success.”

Wiederholt is also no stranger to the joint base environment, having previously worked at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii.

“To the Airmen of the 305 Air Mobility Wing, you inspire me,” said Wiederholt. “I look forward to visiting and serving with you and your families. Serving is our chance to represent our country, service, wing and squadron. It’s an opportunity to be part of something larger than ourselves.”

Before her departure, Breeden, who is moving on to U.S. Africa Command Headquarters in Stuttgart, Germany, received praise for her accomplishments.

“Thanks for your leadership and hard work,” Barrett said. “[AFRICOM’s] a great place to be and I know you guys will love it.”
