I.G. Brown Training and Education Center

U.S. Air Force Col. Kenneth Lozano, the commander, presented dozens of awards on stage as well as discussed TEC’s accomplishments and future plans with a majority of staff watching online, via Livestream, during his Commander's call, August 20 in Spruance Hall at the I.G. Brown Training and Education Center in East Tennessee.

TEC personnel are working from home, with a limited amount of staff and classes on campus in accordance with COVID 19 restrictions and safety measures.

TEC is a detachment of the Air National Guard Readiness Center and instructs both Enlisted Professional Military Education and Professional Continuing Education for the total Air Force. Its staff and faculty include more than 80 Airmen from the regular Air Force, the Air National Guard, and the Reserve Command.

The training and education center redirected its EPME to Virtual In-residence-Remote NCO Academy and Airman Leadership School in June. Hundreds of Airmen have graduated online from four, six-week classes since. Its PME is also growing and innovating, despite pandemic restrictions, to include the campus’s first U.S. Air Force Mission Defense training cyber course, currently underway.
