SAN DIEGO – Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD) encourages its Sailors and staff to complete the 2020 Defense Organizational Climate Survey (DEOCS) before the survey's conclusion Oct. 4.
The annual DEOCS allows staff to anonymously voice their opinion about the command to provide accurate feedback about the organization's climate.
"We're always trying to improve our command," said Cryptologic Technician (Technical) 1st Class John Rodil, NMCSD's Command Resiliency Team (CRT) advertising lead. "Not only is [DEOCS] for self-improvement, but we're also trying to find what issues we may have that the command is not aware of."
NMCSD's CRT provided a quick response (QR) code, which allows participants to conveniently complete the survey directly on their mobile devices, and encourages higher participation. The QR code can be found at the DEOCS booths located around NMCSD's campus.
Rodil said the goal of the DEOCS is to give everyone a chance to be represented and have their voice heard, no matter who they are, or what directorate they're a part of.
DEOCS booths are set up in front of the hospital's galley from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday, and at the entrance checkpoints from 6-8 a.m. and 2-4 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
NMCSD’s mission is to prepare service members to deploy in support of operational forces, deliver high quality healthcare services and shape the future of military medicine through education, training and research. NMCSD employs more than 6,000 active duty military personnel, civilians and contractors in Southern California to provide patients with world-class care anytime, anywhere.
