The 341st Missile Wing Vice Commander, Col. Rusty Williford, sat down with the wing’s public health emergency officer, Maj. Sandra Salzman, to update the base populous on current pandemic guidelines at Malmstrom Air Force Base, Montana, Aug. 27, 2020.
With most school starting this week, Williford emphasized the importance of not sending children to school who are not feeling well.
“Someone taking care of a sick child may be pre-symptomatic for the coronavirus,” said Williford, “It’s crucial that parents work with their supervisors to either telework or find a solution within the unit.”
Williford also reminded everyone of the current restrictions:
Local dining restrictions:
• Military members may not dine in restaurants, but may dine outside restaurants if tables are spaced six feet apart.
• Military members may not go to bars, casinos or theaters.
On-base gatherings
• Indoor gatherings may consist of up to 30 people, or 50 percent of the space’s capacity, whichever is less.
• Outdoor gatherings may consist of up to 100 people
• Six feet of separation must be maintained
• Masks must be worn by anyone ages five years old and older
Masks
• Everyone must continue to wear masks in all buildings and vehicles on base
