HOHENFELS, Germany- The Joint Multinational Readiness Center is dedicated to keeping everyone safe and healthy during the holidays. The Hohenfels Dining Facility prepared a large thanksgiving meal for soldiers and families on Nov. 25 and took extra precautions against Covid-19.
"It is very important to keep everything clean and sanitary for this meal." Said the Dining Facility Manager, Tim Haskell.
He added that employees and soldiers worked together to keep the tables and buildings clean throughout the meal.
“Keeping everyone safe is our top priority during the holidays.” Said Haskell. “ With everyone getting together for a nice meal it’s our job to keep everything clean so they can.”
Soldiers from the 1st Battalion 4th Infantry Regiment pitched in to clean tables and chairs after guests were done eating to help the staff.
"Our job is to monitor the sign in list to keep track of capacity and make sure everything is sanitized for the many rounds of guests coming in." Said Spc. Jared Reed from the 1st Battalion 4th Infantry Regiment.
Soldiers assigned to assist in cleaning waited for guests to sit down and eat. After the guests left they wiped down the tables and chairs with cleaning solutions and then dried them with paper towels.
JMRC made keeping everyone safe and healthy a priority with social distancing measures, making sure everyone wore masks and a limited capacity during hourly shifts for this Thanksgiving holiday meal.
