San Angelo celebrated Veterans Day early this year with over 70 floats in a downtown parade, Nov. 7, 2020, here.
This year the theme for the parade was “Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans.” Due to the controversy surrounding the Vietnam War many veterans returning home did not receive a friendly welcome. San Angelo is making up for that time with this year’s Veterans Day Parade.
After the parade approximately 45 Vietnam Veterans were honored in a pining ceremony at the El Paso de Santa Angela.
Thank you to those who have served throughout time many veterans are the inspiration for those serving today. We are honored to carry on what those who have gone before us started.
