CAMP FOSTER, OKINAWA, Japan -- The Camp Foster Tax Center raises awareness and engagement of operations and services provided to eligible clients during peak tax season on March 22.
The Camp Foster Tax Center assists eligible clients including active duty service members and their dependents, retirees, surviving spouses, and Department of Defense civilian employees in preparing federal and state income tax returns. The center is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. until June 15.
“We are extremely accurate and thorough in our work here at the Tax Center,” said Marine Corps 1st Lt. Anna Dryden, a judge advocate with the Legal Services Support Section, Headquarters and Support Battalion, and a native of Louisville, Kentucky. “Even if you are filing a simple tax return or have a more complicated filing situation, it is always good to have an extra set of experienced eyes to assist you with your taxes.”
Dryden explained that due to COVID-19 mitigation efforts, eligible clients are required to schedule an appointment to receive filing assistance. She explained that once scheduled, arriving clients can expect a quick filing process performed by the Marines with LSSS, H&S Battalion.
The Camp Foster Tax Center is located in Building 5717 on Camp Foster. The mission of the Camp Foster Tax Center is to assist eligible taxpayers with the preparation and efiling of both federal income tax returns and state income tax returns, as applicable.
