CLEVELAND (March 26, 2021) -- U.S. Army Pfc. Ethan Stefanick, a native of Castle Rock, Colorado, and combat medic with 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), entered the medical field to provide aid to those in need.
“I joined the Army because I wanted to serve others,” he said. “As a combat medic I get to be there for the Soldiers I’m serving with.”
Stefanick is current serving the people of Cleveland by working as a vaccinator at the Wolstein Community Vaccination Center.
“Being able to serve my fellow Americans here in Cleveland has been a great experience, and I’ve especially enjoyed getting to talk to [older community members] that have come in for their vaccines,” said Stefanick.
With his first child on the way, Stefanick is looking forward to days when the pandemic has come to an end.
“Helping this pandemic end…is making an impact and I’m grateful for that,” he said. “I haven’t been able to visit my grandparents in over a year. I am looking forward to them meeting my daughter after she’s born.”
Family means a lot to Stefanick; vaccination efforts will not only help him be able to see his grandparents, but everyone will be able to visit loved ones again.
“This is what we need to get back to normal,” he said. “I think all of us look forward to getting to visit the people we love.”
U.S. Northern Command, through U.S. Army North, remains committed to providing continued, flexible Department of Defense support to the Federal Emergency Management Agency as part of the whole-of-government response to COVID-19.
