GREAT LAKES, Il. (April 5, 2020) – Naval Station Great Lakes announced their Sailors of the Quarter for the first quarter for 2021.
Master-at-Arms 3rd Class Christopher Caldwell, from Missoula, Montana, was named Bluejacket of the Quarter for Great Lakes. Caldwell is a part of Great Lakes’ security department. He has been in the Navy for five years and aboard Great Lakes for nearly two years.
“I feel honored to be awarded Bluejacket of the Quarter,” said Caldwell.
Caldwell’s job involves conducting security for the installation, including traffic stops, perimeter checks, armory duties, etc. He also is a part of Great Lakes’ funeral honors team.
“My favorite part of my job is providing security for the base and helping people whenever I can,” said Caldwell.
