NEW ORLEANS, La. — The Louisiana National Guard's Youth Challenge Program was awarded a $5,000 check donated by DynMcDermott Petroleum Operations Co., Inc., in Jackson Barracks, New Orleans, Sept. 30.
David Stoltz, manager of the office of strategy management for DynMcDermott, presented the check to Maj. Gen. Bennett C. Landreneau, adjutant general of the LANG.
Brig. Gen. Brod Veillon, director of the YCP, and several cadets from the YCP in Camp Beauregard, La., were present to witness the check presentation.
The Louisiana National Guard YCP is a program which offers at-risk adolescents an opportunity to change their future in many ways, including the opportunity to earn a high school equivalency diploma. Youth Challenge operates three programs in the state of Louisiana located at Camp Beauregard, Pineville, La.; Gillis W. Long Center, Carville, La.; and Camp Minden, Minden, La.
