School opening expected on Monday
The Wiesbaden schools are expected to reopen on Monday, May 10, and will go into alternating lessons with all classes. This is announced by the city of Wiesbaden and the State School Board for Wiesbaden and the Rheingau-Taunus district.
According to the Federal Emergency Brake, a requirement for opening the schools is a 7-day incidence of less than 165 on five consecutive working days. This figure was reached for the first time on Tuesday, 4 May, if it were to be below 165 tomorrow, the school is scheduled to open on the following day, i.e. Monday. So far, the incidence levels have been steadily decreasing, which is why the corresponding opening of schools is to be expected.
The Wiesbaden schools were informed on Wednesday about the possibility of restarting alternating classes on Monday. Schools will inform their students and parents through the known communication channels; continuous communication is provided via the previous contact in connection with distance learning.
