Expected opening of childcare on Monday
The daycare centers in Wiesbaden are expected to be able to return to normal operations under pandemic conditions on Monday, 10 May.
According to the current regulation of the so-called Federal Emergency Brake, this is possible, provided that the 7-day incidence is below a value of 165 on five consecutive days. This figure is expected to be reached tomorrow, eliminating the need of parents to prove that they are working or studying. Christoph Manjura, the responsible departmental officer, is pleased that the joint efforts in Wiesbaden have led to steadily decreasing incidence levels, which will hopefully continue this way.
However, as the incidence is currently more than 100, the state of Hessen appeals to parents to look after their children at home if possible.
