ANSBACH, Germany (May 26, 2021) – Employees of the USAG Ansbach Directorate of Public Works (DPW) met with Col. Karen Hobart, garrison commander, and Command Sgt. Maj. Eric Bohannon to discuss potential improvements of internal processes and services, to ultimately improve customer service as a whole.
The DPW is responsible for the infrastructure on the installations, roads and grounds, housing and maintenance. Its employees are mostly local nationals; some of them have worked for the garrison for many years, or even decades, and are very skilled in their respective fields.
Hobart thanked the assembled audience for the continued quality service and assured them of her ongoing support: “Please know that we are aware of what you do for the Soldiers and families, and we will always have your back.”
The employees were encouraged to voice their concerns and suggestions to the command team, either in person or in writing. The DPW leadership and the command team will look at all suggestions and decide on the best strategy of implementation at a later date.
The meeting was part of a recent garrison initiative to integrate the workforce in planning and decision making by listening to their ideas and suggestions for improvement.
