    WASHINGTON - Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Washington has awarded a $3,905,000 firm-fixed price contract to Pontiac Drywall System, Inc., a small business based in Pontiac, Mi., to replace transformers and switchgear at Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, D.C.

    The work to be performed consists of demolishing and replacing the substation inside of Building 209. The substation includes two transformers and associated switchgear.

    The contract was awarded on September 27, 2021. All work will be performed in Washington, D.C., and is expected to be completed by October 2022.
