FORT BRAGG, NC -
Fort Bragg’s Religious Support Office received coffee donations from Holy Joe’s Café, Sept. 9. The assortment of coffee included 28 double-stacked pallets of K-cups, ground coffee and whole-bean coffee, delivered at the Soldier Support Center.
“We are grateful for the donation,” Sgt. 1st Class Nathan Yost said. “The donated resources will help us to create a more relaxing and comfortable atmosphere for our service members seeking counsel.”
The coffee was distributed to the unit ministry teams of XVII Airborne Corps, 82nd Airborne Division, 1st Special Forces Command, Special Warfare Center and Schools, U.S. Army Special Operations Command, and 3rd Expeditionary Sustainment Command.
Unit ministry teams are comprised of chaplains and religious affairs specialists whose mission in the Army is to provide and perform religious support to Soldiers, Families and authorized civilians as directed by the commander. Unit ministry teams promote spiritual fitness, pastoral care, and counseling regardless of religious affiliation.
“In a high speed environment like Fort Bragg, it is essential Soldiers take time to slow down,” he said. “The donation will allow service members an opportunity to relax, while raising morale and relationships between service members and the Unit Ministry Teams.”
