Hurlburt Field, Fla. — U.S. Air Force Major Gen. Christopher Craige, Air Force Personnel Center commander and Chief Master Sgt. Eryn McElroy, AFPC command chief, visited Hurlburt Field from October 5 to October 7, 2021.
The purpose of this visit was to discuss and address top issues with Air Force wings that fall under the AFPC umbrella.
While at Hurlburt, Craige and McElroy visited various different organizations under Air Force Special Operations Command, such as AFSOC Headquarters, the 24th Special Operations Wing Special Tactics Training Squadron, the 1st Special Operations Group Military Personnel Flight and the 1st Special Operations Wing Comptroller Squadron.
During the visit, Craige took time to recognize 11 Airmen from various different units on base. Craige awarded each of these Airmen with an AFPC coin for their outstanding conduct and performance.
Additionally, McElroy sat down with various first sergeants on base to discuss various different issues pertaining to enlisted personnel under the Hurlburt Field umbrella.
Leadership visits help Airmen create more intimate bonds with leadership and give Air Force leaders an opportunity to better understand work that happens on the front lines of the Hurlburt mission.
