GARDEN CITY, Ga. -- U.S. Air Force Col. Christopher M. Dunlap, commander of the 165th Airlift Wing, Georgia Air National Guard, will relinquish command to Col. Robert "Bob" S. Noren, the current 165th Mission Support Group commander, during a change of command ceremony on Sunday, November 7 at 10:00 a.m. at Savannah Air National Guard Base, Georgia.
Dunlap has served as the 165th AW commander for 2 years and will assume a new position as the Director of Operations and Future Mission Conversions at Joint Force Headquarters for the Georgia National Guard.
Noren has over 28 years of service and has held several titles throughout his career including Flight Commander, Director of Operations, Air Liaison Officer, Joint Terminal Attack Controller (Instructor) and most recently 165th Mission Support Group Commander.
Members of the media are invited to attend the formal change of command ceremony planned during the November training weekend.
