Budget Analyst Brittney Johnson with the Fort McCoy Resource Management Office (RMO) was recently recognized for going above and beyond the call of duty.

Johnson provided budget support to Fort Devens, Mass., from June to September to assist in fiscal year closeout due to a sudden vacancy in the Massachusetts RMO. Johnson provided budget planning and execution support to the Devens Department of Public Works and Directorate of Emergency Services, allowing them to allocate their remaining funding and close out the fiscal year.

Johnson also helped train a newly hired budget analyst and integrate the new hire into the Devens team. “Brittney’s work ethic and attention to detail are above reproach and set the example for others to follow,” states a Certificate of Appreciation. “Her contributions exemplify the highest standards of civilian service and reflect a great credit on herself, Fort McCoy and the United States Army.”

The certificate, from Col. Daniel Cederman, director of the Army Reserve Installation Management Directorate, was presented by Garrison Commander Col. Michael Poss during a special recognition event Nov. 4 in the Installation Emergency Operations Center.

Also during that event, Johnson received the Army Civilian Service Achievement Medal and a Garrison Command Coin for Excellence.

Fort McCoy was established in 1909 and its motto is to be the “Total Force Training Center.” Located in the heart of the upper Midwest, Fort McCoy is the only U.S. Army installation in Wisconsin.

The installation has provided support and facilities for the field and classroom training of more than 100,000 military personnel from all services for 36 of 37 years since 1984.
