Minister President Malu Dreyer: People with booster vaccination are exempt from the "2G-plus" regulation
At its special meeting today, the Council of Ministers adopted the amendments to the new Corona Control Ordinance. This also includes the decisions of the federal-state consultations with the Federal Government. The regulation will be announced today in the course of the evening and will enter into force tomorrow.
We need to stop the momentum of the fourth wave. Therefore, starting tomorrow, the 2G plus rule will apply indoors and the 2G rule outside, if a mask cannot be worn permanently. Today, the Cabinet once again held intensive consultations and decided that people with a booster vaccination that has already been carried out are exempt from the 2G-plus regulation. The booster vaccination increases the vaccination protection enormously. Those people therefore no longer need another test, for example, for their visit to a restaurant or when entering a gym. The vaccination status with the booster vaccination is sufficient," said Minister President Malu Dreyer. This status applies from the first day after the booster vaccination has been given. Generally excluded in Rheinland-Pfalz are children up to 12 years and 3 months. Those don't need a test. For children up to and including 17 years of age, 3G applies everywhere – vaccinated and recovered children over the age of 12 do not need a test in the movie theater or gastronomy.
