    Hot Spot Rules for Wiesbaden

Since mid-December, new corona rules have been in effect in Hessen and thus also in Wiesbaden. These are available at wiesbaden.de/coronavirus (Pressemeldungen und Verordnungen). Due to the increasing number of infections, the administrative staff of the city currently assumes that the new hotspot rules of the state will soon also apply in the city, and has therefore decided on corresponding measures on Wednesday, Jan. 5.

According to the new requirements of the state, special rules apply in hotspots. A county or a district-free city is considered a hotspot if the seven-day incidence is above 350 for three consecutive days. On Wednesday, Jan. 5, the seven-day incidence in Wiesbaden was at 337.

Since the seven-day incidence is expected to rise above 350, the magistrate will issue a general order, which will be published on Saturday, Jan. 8, and will go into effect on Sunday, Jan. 9, thus implementing the hotspot rules set by the state. However, if the number of infections does not rise high enough for the requirements of the hotspot regulation to be met, the general order will then be suspended for the time being. The homepage of the state capital Wiesbaden will inform about the re-implementation.

In hotspots, among other things, an alcohol ban applies in public places and squares as well as a mask requirement in pedestrian zones, including the Goldgasse pedestrian zone. For events (more than ten people) as well as in the cultural, sports and leisure area (sports field, gyms, movie theater, theater) and in restaurants as well as for tourist overnight stays the 2G-Plus rule applies indoors and 2G applies outside. The mask requirement remains in place. Prostitution sites must close. The hotspot regulations expire as soon as the incidence level drops below the threshold of 350 for five consecutive days.

A ban on alcohol consumption will apply in the following places and squares in Wiesbaden:

    - Prinzengässchen
    - Grabenstraße
    - Goldgasse
    - Mühlgasse
    - Häfnergasse
    - The Drei-Lilien-Platz Straße
    - Bärenstraße up to the corner of Langgasse
    - Wagemannstraße
    - Kleine Langgasse
    - Alfons-Paquet-Straße
    - Luisenplatz
    - Mauritiusplatz
    - The consecutive area of the Kochbrunnenplatz and the Kranzplatz
    - Kulturpark
    - Central Station Square / Bahnhofsplatz
    - Reisinger-Anlagen including the Herbert-Anlagen
    - The area of the Warmer Damm
    - Bowling Green
    - Blücherplatz with the exeption of the school gounds (naturally, alcohol consumption is not automatically allowed there, but the school grounds is not considered a public area)
    - Wallufer Platz
    - Nerotalanlagen
    - The so-called Eleonoren-Anlage
    - The consecutive area of the Schlossplatz, Marktplatz and the Dernsches Gelände
