British Army Officer Cadets from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst train at a live fire range at the U.S. 7th Army Training Command's Grafenwoehr Training Area, Grafenwoehr, Germany, Monday, March 14, 2022. Officer cadets spent the week in grafenwoehr combining the different dismounted close combat skill concepts they had been taught so far into a combined exercise that requires them to work together and think quickly to achieve an objective.
For most, this will be their first time combining such lessons in a hands-on field environment.
“One of the things we’ve liked most is bringing all your training in one-piece and seeing for yourself how it fits together,” said Officer-Cadet Paul Clarke.
The Officer-Cadets training here in Grafenwoehr are in the beginning phase of their Senior Term, the final of three such terms at Sandhurst, and will be commissioned into the military as 2nd Lieutenants this spring.
