332d Air Expeditionary Wing Red Tails came together June 18 to celebrate the latest graduates from the Airpower Leadership Academy at an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia.
ALA is a nine-week leadership program for select 332d Air Expeditionary Wing noncommissioned officers.
Key components of ALA include leadership development, peer network building and leadership support. Adopted by many bases over the years, ALA started in 2020 to allow noncommissioned officers to build skills and understand what motivates them to be their best.
A primary goal is for the students to cultivate their personal leadership style using the experiences of their peers and leaders at all levels as a guide for what they value and will choose to embody, commented Master Sgt. Kevin Norton, 332d Preventative Aerospace Medicine Team flight chief, and ALA class of 22-02 director.
“I truly enjoyed my time as ALA director, working with my team and especially with the students,’ said Norton. “I learned as much from the students as I hope they learned from us.”
