Kaiserslautern, Germany – Media members are invited to observe a community clean-up project at Sankt Goar to restore the environment on Monday, July 11, 2022. U.S. Army Soldiers, Civilians, Families, German Soldiers and host nation members will team up to beautify the area from 9:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. and 1:30 - 3:45 p.m. Mr. Falko Honisch, the mayor of Sankt Goar, will also be in attendance during this host nation community event.
St. Goar is a significant World War II site where U.S. Army and Allied troops crossed the Rhine River. The town, Sankt Goarshausen, is located directly across the Rhine River from St. Goar and was victoriously seized in March 1945.

The 21st Theater Sustainment Command executes mission command of operational sustainment across the European theater; conducts reception, staging, onward movement and integration; executes theater opening, theater distribution, and theater sustainment in support of U.S. European Command and NATO operations; and, as directed, executes joint security and support to U.S. Africa Command operations.
