Wolf Pack hosts 2nd Quarter Load Crew Competition, EOD display booth

8th Fighter Wing

The newly activated 35th and 80th Fighter Generation Squadrons went head-to-head during the 8th Maintenance Group’s 2nd Quarter Weapons Load Crew Competition, July 9, 2022.

Each team was tasked with loading munitions onto their respective F-16 Fighting Falcon. Evaluators observed and graded each team on their knowledge, proficiency, performance, time and weapons load technical abilities.

In conjunction with the competition, the 8th Civil Engineer Squadron explosive ordnance disposal team had an interactive display booth set up for attendees to explore. Visitors were able to see EOD assets firsthand.

The winning load crew team is slated to be announced during an upcoming 8th MXG awards ceremony.
