QUANTICO, Va. - The Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) will virtually host the 2022 Department of Defense Security Conference from Oct. 12-13. Participation for the two-day event is open to military, government civilian or defense contractor employees with a .mil or .gov email address. The theme for this year’s event is 'Developing a Resilient Security Workforce in a Changing Environment.'

"We are excited to bring to you the 2022 Virtual DOD Security Conference," said Heather Mardaga, Director for DCSA's Center for Development of Security Excellence (CDSE). "The pandemic presented challenges many of us have not seen in our lifetimes. As we increased our digital footprint to maintain readiness during this time, we also encountered new security challenges that required us to mitigate misinformation and disinformation. This year’s conference reflects the idea that our security workforce needs endurance and strength to tackle these challenges. Also, to become agents of change, our security workforce needs to employ critical thinking to discern information."

That theme of discernment will underpin the topics addressed during the conference, which will include sessions about Security in a Digital World; Industrial Security; Personnel Security; Defense Personnel and Security Research Center studies; Controlled Unclassified Information, and more.

For additional information about the conference and to register, visit: https://cdse.acms.com/dvsc2022/event/speaker_info.html

Through vetting, industry engagement, education, and counterintelligence and insider threat support, DCSA secures the trustworthiness of the U.S. government's workforce, the integrity of its cleared contractor support and the uncompromised nature of its technologies, services and supply chains.

CDSE - a security center of excellence for the professionalization of the DOD security community - provides security education and training for DOD and industry under the National Industrial Security Program. CDSE provides development, delivery and exchange of security knowledge to ensure a high-performing workforce capable of addressing U.S. security challenges.
