For public safety, a new sign initiative is underway to clearly mark hazardous areas and notify recreational boaters of federal boundaries. MCAS Cherry Point is committed to maintaining a safe, hazard free, and clearly marked water boundary, as recreational use enhances the bond between local residents and the installation.
