Fort Huachuca, Ariz.- The NETCOM Regional Cyber Center – Pacific, was awarded the 2022 RCC of the Year in a ceremony held at the NETCOM command headquarters, Fort Huachuca, Ariz., Sept. 20.

“I'm incredibly proud of the RCC-P team and their achievement in earning RCC of the Year”, said RCC-P Director Lt. Col. Michael T. Denison. “All RCC-P divisions and branches worked together to mature as a collective team to find, investigate, and respond to threats within the virtual network environments provided by the Gaining Cyber Dominance and Elite Mercury Challenge events,” Denison said.

The award capped off a tremendous year of successes for the RCC team. NETCOM Deputy Commander for Operations Col. Scott Bird presented the trophy to Denison and RCC-P Sergeant Major, Sgt. Maj. Claudia Twiss. The RCC-P earned the Regional Cyber Center of the Year trophy for their diligent work in providing Department of Defense Information Network service to the Pacific Theater while simultaneously delivering cyberspace effects – both defensive and offensive –against global adversaries, all the while continuing to develop and deploy cyberspace capabilities to equip our force for the future fight.

“The Elite Mercury Challenge is a culminating event and competition that tests all Regional Cyber Centers on the execution and synergy of their core DoDIN and DCO missions,” said Danny Torrez, DCO division chief. “The RCC-Pacific is proud to win this event for the fourth time,” he continued.
