Master Chief Navy Counselor (SCW/SW) Williams was born in Decatur, GA. After graduating from McNair High School, she enlisted in the U.S. Navy in February 2002.

Upon completion of Basic and Seaman Apprenticeship training at RTC Great Lakes, IL, she reported to Amphibious Construction Battalion One, San Diego, CA, for duty as an undesignated seaman. During her tour, she struck for Boatswain’s Mate and was advanced to Petty Officer 3rd Class. Here she earned her Seabee Combat Warfare designation.

In 2005, she transferred to USS FORREST SHERMAN (DDG 98), Norfolk, VA, where she enjoyed a successful tour, advanced to Petty Officer 2nd Class, earned her Enlisted Surface Warfare designation, and left there as a PLANKOWNER! Accepting the challenge to work outside of her rate, Master Chief Petty Officer Williams was then transferred to Naval Security Force, Manama, Bahrain, where she was responsible for 350 weapons, 10 warping tugs, and over 100,000 dollars’ worth of ammunition.

Williams embarked on her recruiting adventure in 2008 when she reported to Navy Recruiting District Atlanta as a recruiter, and later as an LPO. Recognizing a fulfilling opportunity to serve in this demanding environment, she decided to cross rate to the Career Recruiting Force as a Navy Counselor.

In August 2012, Master Chief Williams transferred to Navy Recruiting District Nashville where she served as Division Leading Chief Petty Officer. Later, she served at National Chief Recruiter’s EA, and Trainer and Inspector at CNRC N7 in Millington, TN. Williams served as the Assistant Chief Recruiter for both the Enlisted and Officer Missions at NTAG Golden Gate followed by her selection as the ACR of Navy Recruiting Region Central.

Master Chief Williams currently has the pleasure of being stationed at Navy Talent Acquisition Group Philadelphia as the Chief Recruiter.

Her military awards and decorations include four Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals, a Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, and numerous unit and service awards. Master Chief Williams has one daughter, Shanique Heard.
