Each month, we have the opportunity to spotlight one of our CE civilians and highlight their achievements and contributions to our force. Join us in learning more about Ms Maria D. Rodriguez, Environmental Branch Chief and CE DT Member at Eglin AFB, Florida.
Q: What has been your biggest accomplishment/success story you’ve experienced while in your role?
A: My biggest accomplishment is being able to positively contribute to the FAC and DT by bringing CE senior leader experience/installation point of view and supporting the overall goal to provide more inclusion and consideration for vectoring, experiential assignments, and educational/training opportunity within AF CE career field. Helping civilians achieve their greatest potential and posturing AF CE for continued success.
Q: What advice do you have for those looking to join CE?
A: Stay hungry for knowledge and opportunities that this career field has to offer; never stop learning and positively embrace every challenge. Treat every assignment as the most important job you have, strive to be the best at it and most importantly maintain the highest level of respect and professionalism towards your co-workers, subordinates, leadership, and customers. We are all in one TEAM.
Q: Tell us a surprising tidbit/fact about yourself.
A: Great love for adventures; few months ago, I completed a screaming eagle zipline course, 660 feet flight above 3-acres lake and 5 zip lines with my 10-year-old grandson. Today you will find me enjoying my time building memories with my grandbabies and family.
